Class Descriptions

Hot Yoga - A beginner friendly practice that stretches and strengthens the body from head to toe. The heated room and the yoga postures are designed to give the body an efficient way to detoxify. It works the cardiovascular and circulatory systems, massages your internal organs and stimulates the nervous system while dabbling in yoga philosophy along the way. Hot Yoga brings the body into balance, regulating appetite, sleep and mood disturbances. While promoting relaxation- it increases focus, concentration and will power. If you like a good physical workout and you like to sweat, you'll love this class.

Yin Yoga - Focusing on the Yin tissues in the body; connective, organ, joint, gland, this practice decompresses and realigns the physical body while training the mind to focus. This is not a workout, rather an opportunity for the body to recover from the stresses of physical activity and/or sitting in a desk all day. The sequences of postures taught in this style are designed release tension in the areas of hips, spine shoulder and neck. The postures themselves are held for 3-5 minutes to ensure the yin tissues are affected appropriately.

Flow Yoga - Learning to flow with your breath is a very intelligent way to move the body and the main focus in this dynamic practice. Stick to the basics when feeling like a mellow practice or play with the more challenging variations when feeling up to it. This practice will take each joint through it's range of motion to improve circulation and production of synovial fluid. Poses to help improve or maintain the cardiovascular, lymphatic and endocrine systems in good function while working on maintaining the proper postural alignment of the body.

Core Yoga - Proper core activation is emphasized while playing with the yoga poses. An intense core routine is done early in the class sequencing to build a connection the the core of the body as well as kick start the body's detoxifying fire. Discover how to train the core muscles to support the low back and learn to move through the yoga poses (and life!) with the lightness of a ninja.
